Description:
The backup file larger than 2GB cannot be restored successfully.
Maybe the problem is caused by the progress bar prompted during the restore process.

How to repeat:

Thank you for a problem report. There may be a lot of reasons for the problem you described. So, please, describe your hardware and MySQL server used, send the my.ini file content. Are you sure there is anough disk space for restore?

Finally, if everything in your configuration looks OK for you, please, try to use newer version of MySQL Administrator, 1.1.6.

I don't think it is a duplicate bug. The bug i reported is about restore function, that bug is about backup function. I can backup the datafile larger than 2GB successfully, but it can not be restored.
Please check the problem carefully.

Sorry, but looks like bug #16028 was also reported by you. In that report you had written:

"The linux administrator cannot backup a datafile larger than 2GB. If the
database file's size is larger then 2GB, the backup operation failed."

Here you state the opposite:

"I can backup the datafile larger than 2GB successfully, but it can not be restored."

So, please, clarify, on what platform and with what version you can or can't backup more than 2 GB In case of Windows, please, check with MySQL Administrator 1.1.6.

Linux problem:
mysql server V5.0.12
mysql-administrator v1.1.2
I cannot backup the database larger than 2GB successfully by the linux mysql-administrator, but it could be done successfully by mysqldump. So i think the linux mysql-administrator's backup function has some defects.

Windows problem:
mysql server V5.0.12
mysql-administrator v1.1.2
I can backup the database larger than 2GB successfully by the windows mysql-administrator, but it can not be restored.

Please, check with the newer versions of MySQL Administrator for both platforms (1.1.6 for Linux and 1.1.7 for Windows). The can be downloaded from http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/administrator/1.1.html. Inform about the results.

In my case, this appears to be fixed in Windows Administrator 1.1.7. (I too, was unable restore or analyse backup files >2.0GB in Windows Administrator 1.1.5)
