I disagree. Empty user means - no username was specified at all. It's ok for 'anonumous connection' but of course it mustn't be case of exception in the mysql admin. At leaest on linux I didn't get any exceptions. Going to test it on windows.

I find the exception in the windows platform. The os is windows2000 server.

didn't get any exception on windows xp sp2. Ok, I'll try it on very windows 2000.

repeat the problem easily by the following stemps: run mysql-administrator -> user administration -> user accounts -> press mouse right key and pop menu -> press add new user button -> press mouse right key and pop menu -> press add new user button -> choose the 'yes' button when pop the question 'the user New User has been modified, do you want to storage the changes?' then the exception occurs.

I done a same test with administrator V1.1.6 in windows platform. The problem still exists.
