Description:
The documentation in section 2.5.2 (Upgrading From Version 3.23 to 4.0) does not contain adequate information about upgrading when replication is involved.

How to repeat:
N/A

Suggested fix:
Having just completed an upgrade of my production environment of a 3.23 master and 5 3.23 slaves in pretty much the wrong way, I realize now that section 2.5.2 (the upgrade doc) is woefully inadequate where replication is concerned. It should contain the data from 4.10.2 (or at least a link to that section with strong emphasis that if you're upgrading a replication environment you should read this section first).

It might also be useful to include a link to the 4.10.2 in the Replication FAQ in 4.10.9 under the heading "upgrading from 3.23 with replication". The title "Replication Implementation Overview" doesn't suggest that this is where you look for information about upgrading from 3.23 to 4.0 with replication involved.

Chapter 2.5.2 Upgrading From Version 3.23 to 4.0 does have a URL at the end of the chapter which refers to the Replication chapter.

However, this is important enough that it should probably appear more prominently and earlier in the chapter.

Thank you for your bug report. This issue has been addressed in the
documentation. The updated documentation will appear on our website
shortly, and will be included in the next release of the relevant
product(s).

Additional info:

I have made the pointers to the replication sections more
prominent in the upgrading instructions.
