Description:
I've tried it in several windows (XP Home & Pro, 2000 Pro and Server) and the result is the same.

The scheduled backup function doesn't work. It is added correctly in the windows task manager. It is also launched when it is espected to. BUT the process stops without any error.

Example:
----------------------------------------
2005-12-14 09:38 - Backup started.
Preparing backup for for profile FULL.
Connections loaded from file C:\Documents and Settings\Administrador.NTSERVIDOR\Datos de programa\MySQL\mysqlx_user_connections.xml.

How to repeat:
Install MySQL Server in a machine, install mysql administrator, check for the windows taskmanager is enabled.

Create a backup, schedule it and verify the log file when it hasn't finish.

Suggested fix:
I don't know any possible advice.

Thank you for a problem report. There are several similar reports in our bugs database already. Please, take a look at bug #15012. It is not only similar, but contains a workaround (or, even, explanation) for the problem. Please, check and inform about the results.

hi gerad

as u said to install mysql and mysql administrator , I have done it but it doesn't work and also I checked in the windows task scheduler ,status part is empty andthe last result field is 0x0.
please help me out

Yes as u said the windows task' manager returns value 0x0 that should be interpreted that the program has finished correctly. Isn't it?

Obviously thats the problem and that's why I put it as an S1 (critical) becouse a program that fails and return the value (0) is not correct.

In my case if you look at the log file the schedule starts but end without success.
If I am making a mistake I apologyze for your time wasted.

Just install the new version 1.1.6 and put the user root with password in the last field before save the scheduled backup.

Finally it works!!! Thank u very much!

If doesn't work delete the Documents & Settings/[USER]/Program Settings/MySQL
folder (SAVE YOUR CONFIG FIRST!!) and i should work fine.

I just found a workaround !

Let's open options window and go to Connections page. You need to use connection
under "Connections" node, not "History" node. Add a new connection and use it,
now scheduled backup will work !
