Description:
when i try to install my sql connector/net in win 2000 it starts the process but ends prematurely stating that error has occurred(error no. 2755). It states that there could be some problem with the package too.

How to repeat:
because of this cannot work with my sql.

Could you please login as admin and take ownership of the c:\windows\installer directory. Once you have rights on this directory, installation should proceed ok.

i don find anything related to this my sql connector in c:windows\installer
. where can i login then?
whenever i try to  while updating the registry information it stops abruptly.
I'm not able to view or add the reference as mysql in .net project.

As far as I know Error no. 2755 is permission error. I don't have any problem to install connector as both administrator and any user (with administrator right). Could you please to try install the connector in administration mode and could you please write here what SP is on your Windows 2000

I think i have sp4 for my windows 2000 professional edition.
I've installed my sql in D:\program files\Mysql. where can i login as admininstrator mode?

You need to login as administrator. If you don't have the permission you need to ask your administrator of network. Could you please try it and write here result of actions ?

Its easier.
You have to extract the installer from zip folder.
After you extract it only u can install without 2755 error.
You cant simply double click the installer in zip folder to install it.
