MySQL Verification Team
I tested the package for 4.0.15 on Suse 8.2 without problems: hegel:/home/miguel/test # rpm -ihv MySQL-server-4.0.15-0.i386.rpm MySQL-server ################################################## Preparing db table Preparing host table Preparing user table Preparing func table Preparing tables_priv table Preparing columns_priv table Installing all prepared tables ...................................... Anyway I am assigning LenZ our Production Engineer for further comments.

Description: I've downloaded RPM packages for these releases and attempted rpm install: rpm -ihv mysql-3.23.52-19.i386.rpm Segmentation fault and also liz:/tmp # rpm -ihv MySQL-server-4.0.15-0.i386.rpm Segmentation fault How to repeat: As above, I guess... Suggested fix: Of course, compiling everything will probably work, but it's cleaner to have packed installations.
