But at my problem the cc crash also when the password is OK.

Then in this case I need from you more information how to repeat this crash, because I am able for to use MySQLCC on XP without the issue of wrong username and password. Please try to remove the directory called connections (mentioned in the bug #1368) and try again.

Same crash when using Windows NT 4 SP6

... Crash occurs when choosing menu "connect" before any possibility of enter connection informations. An error window pops up saying: The instruction in "0x39ee1141" refers to memory in "0x00000008". The procedure "read" could not be executed in the memory. Click "OK" to finish the application. Click "cancel" to debug the application
