Description:
I'm not able to correctly edit sql results where are some unicode characters in edited fields or add such fields.

Everytime I try to edit such field it is shorten.

How to repeat:
1/ select * from some_table
2/ start editing
3/ click to add new row
4/ enter some unicode word
5/ enter
6/ string is shorten

Suggested fix:
String is always shorten by same number of characters as number of unicode characters. So if i add "česká republika" which have two accent characters, i got "česká republi"

I think there is problem with counting length of unicode string.

Thank you for a problem report. Please, send the results of

show variables like 'character%';

statement executed from the query browser. What version of MySQL server are you connecting to? Just to be sure.

show variables like 'character%';

"Variable_name","Value"
"character_set_client","utf8"
"character_set_connection","utf8"
"character_set_database","latin2"
"character_set_results","utf8"
"character_set_server","latin2"
"character_set_system","utf8"
"character_sets_dir","/usr/share/mysql/charsets/"

I'm using MySQL 4.1.15 from Debian unstable.

Thanks for your bug report. I was able to reproduce this bug using 1.1.17. I used FC4 and a recent 5.0bk pull to test this bug.
