Description:
i was running 4.0 and decided to upgrade it today. i backed up the database and removed the instance, then installed version 5. mysql administrator can login to it but the server will die unexpectedly. if i try to restore the old db, it does its checks and then the server has an access violation. in terminal services client the error does not come up, only on the console. the service just stops. i can't login with query browser, it pulls the schema and then it freezes when it starts fetching.

How to repeat:
it does it on its own as soon as any sort of command is sent to it
