Description:
When the Visual Studio 2003 C# Data Adapter Wizard asks for a new connection. The data source is appears correctly in the ODBC administrator. This data source is on a remote TCP/IP system and the connection string works correctly when tested in the ODBC administrator. However, after verifying the connection string the wizard fails to create the connection object with the following error.

Could not create a new ODBC connection:
[HY000][MtSQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver]User cancelled.

How to repeat:
Drag a ODBC data adapter object from the toolbox and drop it on the a form in design mode. The wizard will open. Press new connection select a valid data source. The login screen will come up Press OK and the error will occur.

I've got some another error. But I really was not able to create new connection. I attached a screen copy of the error.

After submitting the bug report, I was poking around the forums and came accross the following thread: "MySQL Forums :: ODBC :: odbc error HY000 user cancelled." I tried the suggested workaround which was to back down to MyODBC connector 3.51.11-2 and that solved the specific problem and I was able to create a data adapter taking the same steps taken in the initial bug report.

Creating a connection works fine with 3.51.23 and 5.1.2.
