Description:
The version_bdb system variable no longer appears
in SHOW VARIABLES output. Antony says this is due to
some storage-engine related restructuring and will
reappear (perhaps under a different name) later.

This bug report exists only as a reminder that the variable
should be reinstated sometime. Also, if it is renamed, please
let docs know what the new name is.

See above.
