Description:
When attempting to connect to MySQL using MySQL-Administrator, the connection fails with the following message: *** glibc-detected *** corrupted double-link list 0x085b3608  /usr/bin/mysql/mysql-administrator: line 18  7007 Aborted  $PRG-bin

mysql-administrator version 1.1.4
mysql version 14.7  Distribution 4.1.13 for SuSe Linux i686 using readline 5.0
glibc-devel 2.3.5-40
binutils 2.16.91.0.2-8

How to repeat:
Install mysql-administrator on SuSE 10 and attempt to connect.

Update. I was able to locate the MySQL Administrator for the SuSE 10 distribution (it was located on the DVD, yet missing from the CD set) and was able to successfully install it. It was contained in the RPM mysql-administrator-1.0.22a-2.i586.rpm.
