Description:
I have downloaded and installed maxdb-all-linux-32bit-i386-7_6_00_12.tgz. The MaxDB database starts as a side effect of the installation., but it is not restarting after a reboot, even though it was slected in SDBSETUP to automatically restart.

On further investigation, there is no maxdb script file in the system.

How to repeat:
I have installed twice but both times there are no visible startup scripts anywhere

Hi,

this is not a bug, it's a missing feature. It won't be implemented for Unix-style operating systems. The MaxDB manual contains some pointers how to install a start script, check MaxDB Library - Basic Information - Concepts of the Database System - Creating and Configuring a Database Instance - Automatic Start - Example: Start Script for a Database Instance (Linux) on http://dev.mysql.com/doc/maxdb/en/default.htm .

Best regards,
Ulf
