Hi, this is not a bug, it's a missing feature. It won't be implemented for Unix-style operating systems. The MaxDB manual contains some pointers how to install a start script, check MaxDB Library - Basic Information - Concepts of the Database System - Creating and Configuring a Database Instance - Automatic Start - Example: Start Script for a Database Instance (Linux) on http://dev.mysql.com/doc/maxdb/en/default.htm . Best regards, Ulf
