Description:
I have created an ODBC DSN using the myODBC 3.51.11.2 drivers. This DSN creates fine and tests ok.

However, when I go into MS SQL Server 2000 (SP4) DTS Designer and create a datapump task from MS SQL to mySQL I am unable to open the destination and transformation tabs. The DTS Designer (MS SQL Enterprise Manager) freezes. There is no record in the event viewer.

The mySQL database I am attempting to pump data to is mysql 4.1

Thanks

How to repeat:
1) create myODBC DSN data source
2) in SQL Server DTS Designer create a datapump task from a SQL Server Connection to the myODBC connection
3) Attempt to configure the datapump task. DTS Designer will then freeze.

Could you say me exact version of mysql ?

Hi Vasily

The version of mySQL is 4.1.10a-nt.

Also an additional bit of information. If aI try and create a Datapump task with myODBC as the data source and SQL Server as the data destination, it works fine. It is only when myODBC is the data destination. It is like it crashes trying to get the list of available objects.

Thanks

James

Hi James,

Have you tried to use newer version of MySQL server (4.1.14)? You 4.1.10a is a bit old.

Can you, please, switch on the ODBC trace, try to repeat the described behaviour once more and send the log produced.
