I am getting the same thing on XP. After selecting split Tab in either direction the remove resultset menu item is grayed out. I have only just installed mysql and the query browser yeasterday and I am positive that I could select remove resultset yesterday, however it cleared the tool bar to the botom of the window but did not colapse the window as I expected it to do. I put this down to me not knowing how the application worked. I am new to sql, mysql and the query browser and therefore I may not be able to help much in the technical side of these applications.
