MySQL Verification Team
I was unable to repeat with Excel 2003 and latest MyODBC, then maybe is an issue with Excel 97.
Description: I am trying to connect to create a new data source in Excel 97 using the My SQL driver using New Database Query. I select New Datasource, then enter a name, then select the MySQL ODBC 3.51 driver. Then when I press "connect" it gives me an error message "Cannot find driver {MySQL ODBC 3.51 driver} in system information. How to repeat: Open Excel and click Data > Get External Data. Select New Datasource, then enter a name, then select the MySQL ODBC 3.51 driver. Press "connect". The error message "Cannot find driver {MySQL ODBC 3.51 driver} in system information" is displayed.
