Description:
The Search function does not search within the 'Query Area', but will search within a 'Script' or Result Set.

How to repeat:
Open a query... 
Type something... (ex: 'Test')...
Edit Menu->Find...
Search For 'Test'

Result = No matches found

Many thanks for writing a bug report. We are on the way to implement full functionality of MySQL Query Browser into MySQL Workbench. We won't add this feature request anymore.
