Description:
Today i first time download and install the migration toolkit. but when i started the application i got an error dialog box with the following error msg.

The GRT environment could not be initialized.
Please check your Java installation then try to restart the tool.

Error details:
The function did not return an object. Error Nr.10003

How to repeat:
Just install the mention release and double click on shortcut present on the desktop.

Hi!

This problem happens because you don't have JAVA installed in your computer.

Please download the latest Java from www.java.com, and try running MT again.

I hava already JDK1.4.2 on my computer.....

Actually now the software is running fine but it is strange to me that when i tried to run it after double clicking on the icon create on the desktop after the installation then i was getting the msg which i posted.

But when i opened the installed location E:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Migration Toolkit 1.0 and click on the file MySQLMigrationTool.exe the software has started to run properly. After this successfully execution i once again clicked on the desktop icon and got the same error. So deleted the icon and created a shortcut of this exe on my desktop. 

Now i m happy coz i have also succesfully migrated my database from oracle to mysql using this tool ... :)

The error is by access icon from desktop
