Hi! This problem happens because you don't have JAVA installed in your computer. Please download the latest Java from www.java.com, and try running MT again.

I hava already JDK1.4.2 on my computer..... Actually now the software is running fine but it is strange to me that when i tried to run it after double clicking on the icon create on the desktop after the installation then i was getting the msg which i posted. But when i opened the installed location E:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Migration Toolkit 1.0 and click on the file MySQLMigrationTool.exe the software has started to run properly. After this successfully execution i once again clicked on the desktop icon and got the same error. So deleted the icon and created a shortcut of this exe on my desktop. Now i m happy coz i have also succesfully migrated my database from oracle to mysql using this tool ... :)
