Description:
This proposal suggests making the **MySQL Health Monitor** available in on-premises MySQL deployments as a built-in server-side health and supportability feature.

The Health Monitor provides SQL-visible insight into important system conditions such as disk usage, memory pressure, CPU activity, process activity, and disk usage trends. It exposes this information through Performance Schema and can issue warnings when resource conditions become risky.

On-premises MySQL environments often face operational challenges such as low disk space, limited host visibility, delayed diagnosis, and inconsistent monitoring practices. Providing this capability inside MySQL would give DBAs and monitoring tools a consistent way to observe resource health directly from the server.

A MySQL server can become unstable when critical resources, especially disk space, are exhausted. Today, detecting and responding to those conditions often depends on external tools, shell access, or environment-specific monitoring.

The Health Monitor can help by making key health signals visible through SQL and by warning operators before resource pressure becomes severe. This improves supportability, makes diagnostics easier, and creates a foundation for future server-side advice and operational guidance.
