After opening a script, connecting to a database crashes MySQL Workbenc

How to repeat:
Unconnected open a sql script
select Database / Connect and select a database connection
MySQL Workbench closes

Suggested fix:
MySQL Workbench connects

IMHO this is duplicate of Bug #90745, please see Bug #90745.
Even if you feel that your issue is somewhat different, the resolution is likely
to be the same. Because of this, we hope you add your comments to the original bug instead. Thank you.
