Description:
Attempting to Apply Changes to any user config (add host, modify privileges) results in a dialog box stating "Duplicate user name, please enter another name."

database is mysql-max-4.1.12 running on FreeBSD. the mysql-administrator is running on a Slackware 10.0 box on the same subnet.

Adding/deleting a user works fine.

How to repeat:
1. start mysql_administrator
2. login to database
3. select a user
4. modify user's access data or add a host for this user
5. click "Apply Changes"
6. curse at error message that says "Duplicate user name, please enter another name."

Suggested fix:
no idea how it's broken, but I'd like to just be able to modify a user's access in mysql_administrator

This error also occurs with FC4 with 1.0.22a Admin. The windows version works fine, which is 1.0.21. The old Control Center works fine in FC4 adding users and hosts.
