Unable to run sql queries as receive error message when connecting to a database.

How to repeat:
Click database > connect to database, enter pw into 'store in vault', click ok 

Get MySQL Workbench has encountered a problem. Parameter is not valid.

to launch workbench under debug mode (--log-level=debug3) and provide
unaltered workbench log file(more details about log are explained here
