i just installed xampp, and then a coldnt enter anymore

This most likely sounds like MySQL Workbench issue. Please correct me if this is not the case(if not Workbench issue then please explain the issue you are facing in detail along with steps to reproduce). 
To investigate further this issue at our end, may I kindly request you
to launch workbench under debug mode (--log-level=debug3) and provide
unaltered workbench log file(more details about log are explained here
