Description: Connecting to a mySQL Server 9.x and potentially any version after 8.1 generates a compatibility warning - but does allow you to connect. However - using the Workbech to try and create a user account just fails with Invalid Authentication Plugin User newuser@%% has plugin type None, which is not listed as a known authentication plugin by the server. How to repeat: As above. I have tried this with mySQL Server installed under MacOS and in a docker container. I am runing mySQL Workbech in MacOS. Connect to database Create a Schema Try to add user. Suggested fix: Make mySQL Workbench compatible to mySQL Server
