I was unable to repeat this issue on Windows 2003 Server Std Edition. Could you please show us the image service path when is corrupted in your box using the Control Panel -> Services -> MySQL Service -> Properties. Thanks in advance.

Hey, over the weekend I was testing out older versions of MYSQL Server 4.1.9 to be exact. I installed it to see if I would have the same problem. It worked fine, today I re-installed 4.1.12a and tried to make the server die but now it is working just right. Maybe there is something in the 4.1.9 setup that fixed 4.1.12a. Here is the service path that you requested. Although its not the path after a crash. "C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 4.1\bin\mysqld-nt" --defaults-file="C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 4.1\my.ini" MySQL
