Description:
When you add a user to your mysql server using MySQL CC 0.9.4 beta, if you press the ADD button your fine until you press the APPLY button. It will kill the MYSQL service and corrupt the service and it will not start up again until you remove and the mysql server from your computer and reinstall. It seems to only affect windows server 2003. I dont have any problems with XP or Linux with this issue.

I know your MYSQL is not developing CC anymore, I am just informing all of the user who continue to use CC as a precaution.

How to repeat:
open up MySQL CC 0.9.4 beta and add a user. you can add as many as you wish then as soon as you hit the apply button it will kill the service and corrupt it beyond repair. you will have to reinstall mysql server and configure it all over.

Suggested fix:
DONT PRESS THE APPLY BUTTON in MySQL CC

I was unable to repeat this issue on Windows 2003 Server Std Edition.
Could you please show us the image service path when is corrupted
in your box using the Control Panel -> Services -> MySQL Service -> Properties.

Thanks in advance.

Hey, over the weekend I was testing out older versions of MYSQL Server 4.1.9 to be exact. I installed it to see if I would have the same problem. It worked fine, today I re-installed 4.1.12a and tried to make the server die but now it is working just right. Maybe there is something in the 4.1.9 setup that fixed 4.1.12a.

Here is the service path that you requested. Although its not the path after a crash.

"C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 4.1\bin\mysqld-nt" --defaults-file="C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 4.1\my.ini" MySQL
