MySQL Workbench terminates with "external component has thrown an exception" when trying to connect to a new database on a newly installed local server instance.
How do I debug this?

How to repeat:
Attempt to connect to the database that I have just created on the server that I have just installed.

Can you describe more thoroughly the actions that you performed until that error has occurred.

What user have you used for the connection and have you granted privileges for that user on the server ???
