This is a regression of https://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=110161
Issue was fixed in 8.0.33 and reappeared in 8.0.34.

Why does this keep happening? We have client_ssl_mode=PASSTHROUGH, in this mode all the router have to do is forwarding packets to primary server without interfering.
