Description:
■what you did
1. From MySQL Workbench Home, click the default "Local instance MySQL80" in "MySQL Connections".
2. Enter the password and press "OK".

■what you wanted to happen
Assume that you can connect to "Local instance MySQL80".

■what actually happened
The following popup is displayed, and no matter how long you wait, you cannot connect to "Local instance MySQL80".

Could you please tell me the cause and solution of the above problem?

How to repeat:
While connected to "Local instance MySQL80" in MySQL Workbench, disconnect "Local instance MySQL80" or close MySQL Workbench.
Reproduce when connecting to "Local instance MySQL80" again with MySQL Workbench.
*The connection will be successful the first time.

To investigate further this issue at our end, may I kindly request you to launch workbench under debug mode (--log-level=debug3) and provide unaltered workbench log file(more details about log are explained here - https://dev.mysql.com/doc/workbench/en/workbench-reporting-bugs.html)?

I tried to reproduce your issue on windows 10 with workbench 8.0.30 but I am not seeing any issues at my end. Please upgrade to MySQL workbench 8.0.32. Thanks.
