Description:

When I query any table or even <select 1 as num> in the query editor, the results grid just show little tiles representing binary code. I can click on individual tiles to display the value but can't see the full table. 

How to repeat:
I am running workbench 8.0.29 community on Ubuntu 18.04 (bionic) and mysql 5.7.39-0ubuntu0.18.04.2

I tried to reproduce your issue on Ubuntu 20.04 with workbench 8.0.29 but I am not seeing any issues at my end. Please try with latest version. Thanks.
