Description:
The necessary libraries are not included with the executable for the Query Browser to run on a Mac. This is true of both OS 10.4.x and 10.3.x.

The following libraries are missing:
/sw/lib/libxml2.2.dylib (compatibility version 9.0.0, current version 9.7.0)
/sw/lib/libglib-2.0.0.dylib (compatibility version 201.0.0, current version 201.3.0)
/sw/lib/libintl.1.dylib (compatibility version 2.0.0, current version 2.1.0)
/sw/lib/libpcre.0.dylib (compatibility version 1.0.0, current version 1.1.0)
/sw/lib/libiconv.2.dylib (compatibility version 5.0.0, current version 5.0.0)

This problem has a workaround, which involves installing the latest version of fink or compiling these libraries by hand. Time consuming to say the least.

How to repeat:
Try to execute on a machine without fink installed, and the program will appear momentarily in the dock and then vanish.

Suggested fix:
Bundle the libraries with the executable.
