MySQL Verification Team
Hello Rohit, Thank you for the bug report. Please try as suggested in the error log : Please: 1 Check that MySQL is running on address localhost 2 Check that MySQL is reachable on port 3306 (note: 3306 is the default, but this can be changed) 3 Check the user root has rights to connect to localhost from your address (MySQL rights define what clients can connect to the server and from which machines) 4 Make sure you are both providing a password if needed and using the correct password for localhost connecting from the host address you're connecting from Are you able to connect to MySQL Server using command line(with the same user credentials, host details as in MySQL Workbench)? If yes then please launch workbench with verbose mode and send us the unaltered workbench log for further investigation, more details here https://dev.mysql.com/doc/workbench/en/workbench-reporting-bugs.html: MySQLWorkbench.exe --log-level=debug3 Regards, Ashwini Patil
