Description:
Hi,

Using the source distro of 4.1.12 when using ./BUILD/compile-pentium it reports that 'check-cpu' is missing. It is used by SETUP.sh which in turn is used by all compile-* and compile-alpha scripts.
./BUILD/ is mostly used in bk clones, but since it's available..

Took some tarballs of previous versions, it is missing there too. Maybe there is a good reason it is missing? :)

Regards,

Geert

How to repeat:
mysql-4.1.12$ ./BUILD/compile-pentium
./BUILD/SETUP.sh: line 57: ./BUILD/check-cpu: No such file or directory

Suggested fix:
Add check-cpu in the source distribution?

Please do not submit the same bug more than once. An existing
bug report already describes this very problem. Even if you feel
that your issue is somewhat different, the resolution is likely
to be the same. Because of this, we hope you add your comments
to the original bug instead.

Thank you for your interest in MySQL.

Additional info:

This bug is the same as Bug #10696, which is currently patch-pending.
