Description:
Hi,
This bug is direct descendant of the https://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=107040&thanks=2&notify=71.

Now to give a full description.

I'm unable to build the library due to the lack of documentation.

With the previous version there was a documentation on how to obtain the source code and the whole build process including explanation of the configure switches.

There was a dedicated page about that in the docs.

With the new 8.x series - this page is gone. It is not available for a public view!!!

Is it possible to build the library from sources? If yes - how? Where do I get the code to do the build? What parameters to throw at the build? What are the meaning?

Once again - I am NOT looking for an API documentation. I know it exist and I can successfully view it.
I am also NOT looking for a way to build my own application with the library. I am already doing it successfully.

WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR IS A WAY TO BUILD THE LIBRARY ITSELF!!

Could some poor soul explain where to get the code and how to do the build for the version 8?
Or better yet - put that info on the mySQL documentation website so that people will benefit from it?

How to repeat:
Go to the mySQL documentation website

There is NO documentation on building mySQL C client library.

Suggested fix:
Put the information on the web site.

Also - any idea why am I not notified about the comment on the ticket?

I'm still subscribed to it...
