Description:
MySQL supports the statement SHOW CHARSET; which acts as complete alias of SHOW CHARACTER SET; statement. But it is not described in the documentation (moreover, the searching by "SHOW CHARSET" phrase produces "no results" output).

I think that it must be described.

Fixed in all versions of the Manual, in mysqldoc rev 73024.

The updated documentation should appear online soon.
