Description:
I installed mysql-workbench-community on a Centos 7 system after installing the community edition of mySQL server.  The install appeared to go fine with yum but the application fails to start.  
The following error message was sent:

/usr/libexec/mysql-workbench-bin: symbol lookup error : ./usr/lib64/mysql-workbench/liblinux_utilities.so.8.0.22: undefined symbol. ZN4Glib7ustringC1ERKSs

there appear to be issues with at least one of the libraries

How to repeat:
Install the current community edition on a Centos 7 system and then try to run.

I can clarify Jennifer Milburn's request.
The system is CentOS Stream release 8, 4.18.0-373.el8.x86_64

and the mysql-workbench version installed by "dnf install mysql-workbench*" is:

I downloaded MySQL Workbench 8.0.30 for Red Hat, mysql-workbench-community-8.0.30-1.el8.x86_64.rpm, from https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/workbench/ -->
https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/file/?id=513232
and installed with dnf localinstall.

Workbench now runs, but it says, "You are running Workbench on an unsupported operating system. While it may work for you just fine, it wasn't designed to run on your platform. Please keep this in mind if you run into problems."

Since CentOS is based on Red Hat, is this not the correct version?

In any case, it doesn't connect to the database.
