Hello, Thank you for the bug report . I tried to reproduce your issue on Windows 10 and re-ran "mysql-installer-web-community-8.0.28.0.msi" but I am not seeing any issues at my end. Regards, Ashwini Patil
Description: The installer does not upgrade MySql 5.7 and renders my old version un-useable. Installer I ran: "mysql-installer-web-community-8.0.28.0.msi" It hangs up on "start server" and continuously asks to wait or cancel. After cancel I can no longer run MySQL.
