Description:
Warning: (3719, "'utf8' is currently an alias for the character set UTF8MB3, but will be an alias for UTF8MB4 in a future release

What will the "future release" do?

Will the upgrade script go through all tables changing utf8mb3 to utf8mb4 automatically and without recourse?

Will there be a script to manually do it?

Will you wait until 9.0, then auto-upgrade?

Other?

How to repeat:
N/A

Suggested fix:
I don't have a suggestion. But I do believe that thousands, maybe millions, of people will be impacted. I hope that the impact will be minimal.
