I wasn't able to repeat the behavior reported with XP SP2, 4.0.24 server and MS Access 2003.

Yes I confirm It disappears from Processes Tab and I tested with the linked table and pass through query.

I have the same problem. The MySQL 5 Server is running on Win2k and Access is running on an WinXP SP1 and on a WinXP SP2 machine. I tried MyODBC 3.51.12 and MyODBC 5.0.0.0 and always have the same problem. But this problem not only occurs with Access. I've made a VB6 program and the connection to MyODBC works fine. But when I close the program, the connection and the VB6 programs hangs.
