Description:
As of today (post-Patch Tuesday), starting Workbench yields a small error dialog -before Workbench draws anything but its main (empty) window and a title bar - saying "An error occurred while loading image search_sidebar.png"

Clearing that error dialog lets the program continue, apparently as normal.

However, attempting to connect to an instance by clicking a "MySQL Connections" tile yields a MySQL error dialog saying "The parameter is incorrect".

That dialog can be cleared, but no further connection attempts can be made. The system doesn't respond to further clicks.

I can't do my work this way, as I edit my databases with Models in MSWB.

How to repeat:
Try to start Workbench and connect to a host.

This just started happening today, after a patch-Tuesday MS update.
