Description:
https://dev.mysql.com/doc/sakila/en/sakila-installation.html

The second note on this page which says ->
"On Windows, use slashes rather than backslashes when executing the SOURCE command."

is not useful and is incorrect

How to repeat:
see the description

Suggested fix:
Both forward slash and backslash work in windows while executing the SOUCE commands in mysql command line client , so the note is unnecessary
SOURCE C:\Users\prashant\Downloads\sakila-db\sakila-schema.sql  ----> this works
SOURCE C:/Users/prashant/Downloads/sakila-db/sakila-data.sql ----> this also works

we can remove this note or modify it , I am using mysql 8.0 CE

Hello Prashant Joshi,

Thank you for the bug report.
Imho this is not a bug, I tried to reproduce on windows 10 and used back slash instead of forward slash and query results in error.
