Description:
After selecting Tools->Configuration->Restore Connections... and choosing the backup file from the mac, Workbench shows the error:

"Error during "Restore connections from a backup file"
error calling Python module function PyWbUtils.restoreConnections

How to repeat:
1. Create some connections (also in subfolders) in MySQL Workbench 8.0.24 on a Mac
2. Use Tools->Configuration->Backup Connections... to export the file
3. Copy the file to a Windows 10 Installation of MySQL Workbench 8.0.24
4. Use Tools->Configuration->Backup Connections...
5. Choose the backup file from step 2/3
6. Observe error message

The BUG is still there in Version 8.0.25 of MySQL Workbench. Both Backup and Restore connections functionality is not working on Windows Pro and Enterprise 64bit.

This issue applies to the legacy MySQL Workbench 8.x implementation that is no longer supported or maintained.
MySQL Workbench 26.7 is a complete rewrite using a new technology stack and does not use the affected legacy implementation.
Therefore, this issue is not applicable to the current MySQL Workbench product and as such is closed.
