Description:
Workbench had just stopped working when I tried to crate a new table by clicking on the icon table on the lefthand toolbar and then on the squared area. I had just downloaded MySQL installer and this was my first action when opened it.

How to repeat:
By clicking on the icon table on the lefthand toolbar and then on the squared area.

Thank you for the bug report. 
I tried to reproduce your issue on windows 10 with workbench 8.0.23 but I am not seeing any issues at my end. 
Please re-install using the repair option. Thanks.
