Description:

On accessing the side-bar button, the required change is visible on the workbench area. But the corresponding change should also take place in the option provided as: View -> Panels ->  Hide/Show Sidebar, Secondary Sidebar, Output Area. Rather, the options, when viewed from the latter method, do not show the respective change.

How to repeat:
The bug can be clearly viewed on following the below mentioned steps:

- Click on the side-bar button to 'show' sidebar and notice the appearance of sidebar on the screen.
- Now, open the panels option by clicking on 'view sidebar' from Menu Bar and check the drop-down showing the same bar option.
The option for Sidebar will still show the same 'show sidebar' option instead of 'hide sidebar'.
- Clicking on the 'show sidebar' option here, will hide the selected bar, in this case!

The same bug takes place in case of 'Hide' and other bars.

This issue applies to the legacy MySQL Workbench 8.x implementation that is no longer supported or maintained.
MySQL Workbench 26.7 is a complete rewrite using a new technology stack and does not use the affected legacy implementation.
Therefore, this issue is not applicable to the current MySQL Workbench product and as such is closed.
