Description:
innodb_buffer_pool_in_core_file https://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/8.0/en/innodb-parameters.html#sysvar_innodb_buffer_pool_i... is a useful variable introduced in 8.0.14 that reduces coredump file size by excluding BP pages.

Big servers with hundred of GB of BP running in 5.7 would also benefit of having this variable back ported

Please consider adding innodb_buffer_pool_in_core_file to 5.7
