Description:
The downloads page at https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/workbench/ claims "Packages for Catalina (10.15) are compatible with Mojave (10.14)" however the download for 8.0.22 will not run on Mojave; the App has a circle/slash through the icon and upon launch attempt, you get a dialog that says:

You can’t use this version of the application “MySQLWorkbench” with this version of macOS.
You have macOS 10.14.6. The application requires macOS 10.15 or later.

How to repeat:
Download on Mojave, try to run it.

Suggested fix:
Change build requirements to permit 10.14.* as is for 8.0.21 and earlier.

You are right, the description on the download page must be fixed. MySQL Workbench only supports the latest macOS version (see also https://www.mysql.com/support/supportedplatforms/workbench.html), except for one release that is published when a new macOS version comes out.

If you want to use MySQL Workbench on an older macOS version use an older Workbench version instead.
