Description:
I get this error:
"A possible fail reason could be that your user requires a SSL connection that is not currently supported. Please check with the Administrator if you require a SSL Connection and if he can authorize your user to login without a SSL connection."

on workbench with the same parameters there is no issue.
I'm using SSL 

How to repeat:
Use SSL on workbench and open excel - try to connect

Thank you for the bug report.
If the connection works on MySQL Workbench it should also work on MySQL for Excel, given MySQL Connector/NET can establish the connection since MySQL for Excel uses MySQL Connector/NET for connecting to MySQL servers. So please make sure that you have Connector/NET installed.
