Hi! I created a datasource called "mysql" using myodbc 3.1.11-2 (win32). Then I selected "Data->Import External Data->New Database Query" and then selected the "mysql" datasource that I previously created. I went through all the wizard steps and my query executed correctly. I used Excel 2003 for this with the latest service-packs. Maybe what you're experiencing is a bug in 3.1.11 and I suggest you download 3.1.11-2 for Win32. You can get it from here: http://www.peterharvey.org/Downloads/MySQL/MyODBC/MyODBC-3.51.11-2-win.msi
