Description:
Clone Plugin Requires the Exact MySQL version both at Donor and Recipient MySQL servers.

This blocks the usage of the clone plugin being used the server upgrades platform created to support the Backup and recovery, new instances being created, replicated secondaries to be created.

Atleast, the subsequent upgrades like MySQL 8.0.19 to MySQL 8.0.20 should be supported / compatible the Donor and Recipient versions of MySQL, so this can be solve a lot of problems associated with keeping a unified platform as such clone plugin and rolling / testing subsequent upgrades of MySQL server.

How to repeat:

Tested with MySQL 8.0.17(DONOR) and 8.0.18(RECIPIENT) version, clone plugin .

Suggested fix:

Support the immediate releases for Clone Plugin compatiblity.

Will ease the subsequent MySQL upgrade process on 8.0
