I confirm the bug is still there, i got Visual Studio 2010 Professional and .net connector 6.2.3. The connector doesn't show up in Server Exporer Data Source, nor in the Data Provider.

I'm using Visual Studio 2010 on Windows XP machine. I have the same issue, it doesn't work. Any idea when Visual Studio 2010 will be supported?

Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate and .net connector 6.2.3. on Vista did not configure the connector to show in VS2011 Server Exporer Data Source, nor in the Data Provider Installed .net connector 6.3.2 Beta and that recognised VS 2010 and configured VS2010 so that you can see MySql Database and add a connection in VS2010

You mention 6.2.3 in your bug report. 6.2.3 doesn't register with VS2010. 6.3.2 is the latest version of Connector/Net that supports VS2010. It should work for you.

I'm using VS2010 Ultimate and installed the 6.3.2 Connector but it doesn't show up in the server explorer.

The downloads page only lists 6.2.x at the moment. You need to install the beta for 6.3 at http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/net/6.3.html. I found it and installed on Windows7 x64. MySQL now appears as a choice in Visual Studio 2010, but not in the free Visual Web Developer 2010 Express.
