Description:
I created a new ERD for one of my business modules including some already existing tables in database. (MySql version 8)
I have created a lot of new entities and linked them with each others and also with already existing tables and saved file successfully.
From "Database" menu, I chose "Synchronize Model" and followed the wizard until I reached "Model and database Differences" screen then I chose "Cancel" button and cancelled the whole operation.
Then I closed the file without saving.
when I tried to open the file again I faced a serious issue with this message:
"The model in file (file name) contained problems which were successfully recovered"
Then message:
"Table figure (table name) is not attached to any database table and was deleted"
This happened with nearly all tables in the ERD. only four tables left.
In XML file of the ERD, names of deleted tables exist but without columns.
I tried to restart workbench or close it and open ERD file by directly double clicking it but nothing worked

How to repeat:
Create an ERD with different entities including tables already existing in the database.
Save.
From "Database" menu, choose "Synchronize Model" and followthe wizard until you reach "Model and database Differences" screen then choose "Cancel" button and cancelled the whole operation.
Then close the file without saving.
try reopening the file.

Hello Alsayed Alesawey,

Thank you for the bug report.
I tried to reproduce your issue with a dummy test case(model file) on windows 10 using workbench 8.0.19 but I am not seeing any issues at my end.
May I request you to please provide exact model file used in your environment to reproduce this issue at our end? If you can provide more information, feel free to add it to this bug and change the status back to 'Open'.

Thank you for your interest in MySQL.

Regards,
Ashwini Patil
